Here's my problem. '50 Farmall H. New 6v battery and rebuilt generator. Problem is even with the voltage regulator properly polarized I get no output at the switch. I have rewired and have the wiring diagram and its been checked and rechecked. Here's the interesting part, with the tractor running if I touch the two wires coming from the gen I get juice but I think it's neg ground instead of pos. I might also add that I can unhook the battery and drift start and the thing runs like a top but if I hook up the battery while its running (pos ground) it sparks and the amp shows severe discharge. This tractor was converted from mag to coil by factory guys a couple of years after delivery so the owners manual dosen't cover that part of the wiring. Also my brother once tried to convert to twelve volt without sucess and he probably messed something up but this was before the rewire. Maybe all I need is a voltage regulator. Any help would be appreciated.
