The "Lift-All" systems in these tractors are pretty durable if you keep dirt out of them, and pretty simple once you are familiar with them. You have three (3) ports on your tractor, one on the right and two on the left. The right-side port and the front left are the same circuit. The rear port on the left side is a "delayed action" circuit which was designed to lift the rear gang of cultivators at the end of the row at the same place the font gang came up. This was timed to be pretty close when in 3rd or 4th gear. Pulling the control rod all the way up lifted the front gang, and holding it all the way up automatically lifted the rear gang at the same place.
To lower, lift the control rod in the slot so the little piece on the bottom of the rod will slip through the slot, and push down. (You may have to push hard! I remember driving a neighbor's M years ago when I was a kid that I actually had to push down with my foot to release the rear port!) The first detent stop will release pressure in the front ports, an additional push will release whatever is hooked to the rear port.
You MAY find the system a little more responsive if you connect the cylinder to a front port, but either circuit can be used.
The system is "single-acting" or moves cylinders in one direction only. Gravity lowers the equipment.
Be advised that there is supposed to be a little spring clip that mounts in the slot where the contol rod is. The spring keeps the rod from bouncing up and potentially releasing pressure when driving over rough ground. Most of these seem to be missing.
