Remember the Corvair? Rear engine - air cooled, basically an aircraft engine? Read an article where some hot rodder dropped a v-6 a Corvair. He reversed the direction of rotation by putting a marine cam in the v-6. Article said it ran just fine that way. From that, I assume that some inboard boat engines must run backwards!
