Mike, you don't mention whether the tractor is centered over the wide front. If the grill is off-center over the axle, it's going to be some variety of A. If it's centered and the seat is to the right of center, the shifter to your left, and the steering shaft on the right side of the tractor, it's a B or BN. If the grill is centered over the wide front and the seat is on a platform over the tranny/diff'l, the shifter in front of you and the steering shaft down the left side of the tractor, it's a C or SuperC. The casting number you give for the crankcase doesn't match the part number in my SuperC parts book, but there was some variation in these as well as the heads. If the engine is truly a 123, it could be a SuperA or SuperC depending on the configurations I mentioned above. It's also altogether possible someone has changed the motor--I *think* the 113/123 are straight swaps. One way to get a handle on what may have happened is to compare the engine serial number with the chassis number. For the most part, these numbers matched on As and Bs. On the Cs (and maybe the SuperAs), I'm told it was not unusual for the numbers to be different. Sorry if I got long-winded. It's a good puzzle. Let us know what you figure out! Scotty
