Bolt your axle housing back to the transmissoion housing and start over (you can leave the bolts out of the bearing retainer). You forgot the bull gear. I don't remember if you can remove the bull gear through the PTO hole or not. Usually the platform is removed from the transaxle. Either way get access to the bull gear and remove the bolt holding the bull gear to the axle. I used to screw the bolt back into the axle without the big washer. Then place a piece of material beween the bolt and the other axle. Then screw the bolt out to push the axle out of the bull gear. After the axle is removed the axle housing will come off.
