Last fall I was at a tractor show in East Tennesse. Someone had a very nice M without a serial number plate there. He had a plaque stating it was a 1944 model. Well by walking around tractor I could easily see it was a 1941 model with a 1944 engine. The axle housings, wheels, top deck, transmission housing, belt pulley and other places had 1941 casting dates only the engine was 1944. See what I mean?
