TSC had been in Decatur IL for many many years. The first store was downtown on the near north side. The second location was a new purpose built store on the south side of town. I bought tons of stuff in there over the years. 10 or 12 years ago, Blain's Farm and Fleet out of WI built a new store across the road from the TSC. It was much bigger than the TSC store with a large service center, much more clothes, housewares and tools. TSC couldn't compete and closed up shop about 5 years ago. Since then Farm and Fleet has gone to the dogs. They never have what I need on the shelves - it takes forever to replenish their stock. Mgmnt is poor, lots of employess standing around shooting the breeze. Aisles are cluttered. And definetely not service oriented. If you want to see a manager about a problem, it'll take 1/2 hr to get him. And I think that is by design. I've had good luck with F & F paint. I wish TSC was back. BTW, the TSC store in Springfield, IL burned down a few years ago, it was never rebuilt. Now the closest one is in Bloomington IL
