I need to change 3rd gear in my 230. I pulled the pulley and pto unit. The trans shaft seems to have 1st gear pinned on it. If I grind off the pin and punch it will the whole shaft slide out through the rear bearing so I can get 3 off. My other problem is a broken axle. I doubt the thing will push out as it twisted off just inside the inner bearing. Do I have to separate the axle outer casing from the tranny like it seems I will have to or is there another way?,
