I bought a Super M a couple weeks ago. The seller said it was in very good condition and it had M&W pistons. The manifold was cracked, and while I had it off to be welded, I did some port work on the manifold. The points were bad, so I took a friends advise and intalled an electonic ignition. When I put it on the dyno (at 180 deg. oil temp.) it made 62 hp with an average compression of 142 psi. This is more hp than I expected. I thought M&W pistons should have only increased the hp to around 55. How is this possible? Thanks.
