When you have all the shifter rails lined up and letting the clutch out kills the engine your problem is in the transmission not in the bull gear area of the tractor. Yesterday I removed the transmission cover from an "H" that I'm helping my brother-in-law restore. This tractor is in South Central MN setting out in a COLD pole shed. The oil was drained earlier this fall and yesterday we removed the cover to check out all of the gears and bearings. We were surprized to see a large chuck of ICE in the transmission preventing the bottom shaft from turning. With a steel bar we were able to breakup the ice and get things turning for inspection. When my broth-in-law drained the transmission last fall he only drained the large plug at the rear, I guess I forgot to tell him about the drain plug at the front of the transmission. There was still enought water left in the trans. to prevent the shaft from turning. Yesterday was Dec 27 and it was cold. Build a big fire, or wait untill spring to change oil and water and refill with Hy-Tran. Good Luck
