The answer is simple, quit buying the new fangled electronic junk on market today. Like you I would like to be able to buy a new old tractor (656). I farmed a few years back and I recall those young yuppee farmers not liking the fact that the Farmall straight cog transmission didn't shift smoothly. They didn't have enough storage between the EARS to realize that with TA the Farmall had enough torque to go all day without shifting. Ah, they say loader work, to that I say IH should never have built a loader for a Farmall. Why destroy the best pulling tractor ( I include all brand name row crops) in the world for a loader. If you want a loader, buy a loader tractor or a Front End Loader. I had a loader for my 560, never used it much. I had two Case skidsteers on farm, either one of them would load circles around 560 on hard surface.
