Ray, with final drive removed, remove the cover on outside of final drive housing that covers the far out end of the axle. Remove the set screw in the drum and with a stout pice of wood or something so as not to damage the axle shaft, drive the shaft out of the final drive, the drum must stay then while the shaft is driven out of it. A torch is may handy if the drum is real stubborn.
