6v generators are not impossible to find, but it might take some looking to find one. They show up on eBay every now and then. The most I've ever seen one sell for on eBay is around $60. Figure another $50-$75 to get it fixed if it's not charging properly. When I had my generator redone, the local auto machine shop charged me $55; however, it didn't need electrical work. It needed bearings, bushings, cleaned out, etc.
