Man, has it been a wonderful autumn in Wisconsin. Took advantage of today (Sat.) to work on my '48 H. My bother in law came over at 8:00 and we had the tractor split and engine on a stand by noon. of course I've been doing the preliminary work for the last 3-4 weeks. I'm glad i'm doing it this way because we found the clutch bad. Are these flywheels resurfaceable? I don't know why not but thought I should ask. I'm pretty proud of myself that I haven't snapped a bolt off! A couple cylinder head studs came out hard but patience prefailed! One other question, the ring gear shows some wear (imagine that) but no missing or broken teeth. One split per tractor is enough- should I replace? what are your experiences with them? Hi to Red and the fella near Muckwonago working on an "H" also.
