Fiber resin on Sheet metal

There are many type/brands that work. If you go to your local Auto store they will sell the resin. Bondo does have it in thier product line. I bought a gallon of and it ($12.00) and covered the grill and hood of my M. I may have been able to get more out of it but I was doing some other fiber repair too. For preperation: I didn't have any oil on my hood or grill so I used a three step step process to remove the rust. 1st I took an angle grinder with a very stiff wire attachment (brush) to all parts I could reach. Then I used a fine wire attachment on a drill to get the inside cross members of the grill (I did remove the screen). I then took some rust converted (acid) and painted it on to areas that I could not reach with the burshes. Then I coated the outside, mixed some more after that dried and coated the inside. I used cheep brushes but small rollers may work also. I used a plastic oil changing bucket (new) to mix the resin. It made it real easy to remove the left over resin by flexing the bucket and peeling out the hardend fiberglass.
