TOG I would suggest that you unhook the oil line at the gauge and run the tractor for several seconds and let oil flow through the line. You might have some gunk in that line giving you an incorrect reading. Also make sure that gunk didn't get into the back of the oil gauge. Figure out how to rig a pale, coffee can or bucket to capture the oil flowing out of the line.
