There aren't any needle bearings in there. I split my 400D into 3 this past summer. If you are going in to fix the T/A you'll need to split it into 3 pieces. I would replace the seals while your at it. Make sure you get all the metal pieces from the broken gear out. And check all the others. Last thing, make sure the oil passages are all clear.
