I'm too far away from My library, but I think the H & Super H, 300/350 belt pulley runs about 1100 RPM. The belt pulley runs off the top of the constant mesh gear in the H & M series. That's the first gear inside the transmission. The constant mesh gear runs at engine RPM anytime the clutch is engaged. The Belt pulley lever slides the gear inside the belt pulley housing into engagement with the constant mesh gear. The PTO runs off the back of the lower transmission countershaft. This shaft is driven by the constant mesh gear with a specific reduction ratio, to slow engine RPM down to approx. 540 RPM for the PTO. The gears on the countershaft are keyed on the H and splined on the M. They don't move up & down the length of the shaft. The "Sliding Gears" on the top shaft are what shifts the tractor into the different gears. And the top shaft has the differential pinion on the back end of it. A parts book or service manual should make this all clear. My reprint of the H service manual has an excellent cut-away view of the whole tractor.
