Does the engine sound like it is under load all the time??? Is the hydraulic unit getting hot?? If it is getting so hot you can't touch it, something is wrong. Maybe something is stuck or not adjusted properly and the system is on high pressure all the time. You can get a kit for the pump and the unit at a Case IH dealer. The pump is pretty easy. The Touch Control Unit is a lot more complicated. You will definitely need a manual before you try to tackle it.
