Well I joined thw world of red tractors 3 months ago when I bought a '48 "H". This week I began to tear her down for the restoration. Removed sheet metal, disconnected and removed radiator last night. It's interesting to see/find the items that have been fixed/patched over the years. I'll be here alot looking for info/parts etc. I'm not going to tear her down completely to every nut and bolt. I'm just not set up for that kind of job in my garage. being a truck mechanic by trade I'm looking forward to the challenge. The first lesson I've learned is to be patient and soak it in WD-40 or something similar. Exhaust manifold nuts have been for a week now and will be for a couple more before I even think of trying to remove. Thats all for now. I just wanted to feel like part of the "club".
