Jason, If he is going to keep the baler try welding some bars on the roller to get a grip on the hay. A lot of new balers have them. If he really wants to bale hay tell him to get a NH. I've baled with a 855 chain baler for the last 15 years and got along great but do watch the chains. They give you plenty of warning but can make a real mess if they break. Good luck!!
