Farmall 340 No Go ShowBoat

Just finishing installing new motor on Farmall 340...After much trial and tribulation, engine seemed to be under load (enough to stall) expect when hydraulics are being lowered or raised...Hyd. pump is engine driven, with triple lever remote. Pump looks fine, new o-rings installed, fresh fluid, screen and filters cleaned. Any suggetions would be appreciated... Thanks in advance, however remedies will be delayed, as I just put engine hoist through front of radiator!
