I was given an 1944 A for free. Buddy was moving, he wanted to sell but tractor was not running so he gave it to me. All it required was a new set of plugs and a rebuild on the starter. I'm half done restoring the paint and it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. If you have use for it, free isn't bad. I've put $600.00 Cdn in so far and I will have a great machine for moving snow, and performing other tasks. I could have saved a few bucks by leaving the paint alone, not buying new gasket set, not changing leaky front crank seal etc... But I love an old tractor and they deserve better. I really believe the extra TLC will pay off.
