Joe - It could be a couple of things: 1 - A problem with the universal joint at the back end of the clutch shaft. The bolts could be loose and/or the rubber bushings may be coming apart. 2 - The transmission main/countershaft gear set or the mainshaft front bearing is badly worn. #1 is relatively easy to check and repair - no major disassembly is required. #2 requires getting inside the transmission.
