I just bought a 52' Super A with fast hitch and cultivators. Paid $2500 for it, and my steering is loose. Appears though that two new tie-rod ends will solve my problem. You can pick these up for less than $20 a piece. As for the roar, mine whines some in first, just like a car or tractor does in reverse. This is normal. I will tell you the same as told to me when I started looking at this tractor. If it has no leaks, it does'nt jump out of gear, you don't hear any grinding, or it does'nt jump with you in gear, you will never have any problem with it. Oh, and one more thing. My last tractor was an 8N, trust me, you'll think the Farmall is a Mercedes compared to the 8N.
