I had good luck with Zep Orange Degreaser and my power washer for removing grease and dirt. For the really thick stuff, I used a putty knife to scrape it off. I wouldn't sandblast anything while its on the tractor, because sand seems to get everywhere. I may be a big chicken about that, its just an opinion. I've only seen parts sandblasted while off of the tractor.
