As much as some people would like to do it, turning Afghanistan into a glow-in-the-dark smoking nuclear crater would start World War III, so that's a no-go.

That being said, the first thing I would do is revoke that STUPID presidential executive order banning federal government participation in assassinations of foreigners. Let's cut the heads off the snakes before they bite! Prevention is a lot easier than retaliation, no?

Better intelligence-gathering is a must, with the insertion of sympathetic foreign nationals into terrorist groups. Satellites are great, but they only tell so much. Human intelligence gathering can get more than a satellite, and if an assassination is in the cards, it can be done then and there without risk to American lives.

Military retaliation is also required; this falls in with the intelligence point, and the retaliation must occur as soon as terrorist participation is confirmed and sites are identified. Attack these people and force them underground, if you can't kill them outright; make the attacks ceaseless. Punish them and make them cry uncle. Radical Islamic fundamentalism must be wiped off the planet; they want to kill everyone who doesn't agree with them.

Of course, I don't have the knowledge or experience of our leaders, so what I've just said may be off base - but that's what I think.

Looking around at my new neighbors, most of whom are city raised and have recently acquired their first mini-farms of five to fifteen acres and also from reading questions ask at various discussion sites on the web it is frighteningly apparent that a great many guys (and a few gals) are learning by trial and error and mostly error how to use a very dangerous piece of farm equipment. It is also very apparent that these folks are getting a lot of very poor and often very dangerous advice fro ... [Read Article]
