I think you may be right about them replacing the cut out relays with the regulator. My regulator is right on top of the generator. I didn't unhook it at all when i took the generator off so i am not sure how the regulator was tied into the system at all. I am not sure how this is going to work now, i hope when i get the generator back it will be pretty obvious as to what i will have to do to hook it back up. this is turning out to be much more complicated considering how simple of an electrical system it is. If i had known before that my setup was not correct i would have gotten a seperate regulator and done it right. hopefully i will be able to figure it out but right now its hard without the actual thing to look at. thanks for all the help. jeff
