We have a 1950 Farmall cub with a magneto ignition, and a 6 volt system. We cannot figure out how to kill the engine once the engine is running. The magneto has a wire sticking out of it, coming right from the points inside. We have tried conecting that wire to one end of a switch, a ground wire to the other end of the switch, but the engine starts and runs without the switch. The only way to stop the engine is to choke the carburator. Any help would be appreciated.
