You said that you were having generator rewired for 12 volt. Are you converting tractor to 12 volt as well? If your tractor isn't set up for 12 volt you will need to change the light bulbs or you will soon burn them out. Your starter will also turn over much faster and some people have it reworked as well. It will work with 12 volt battery but don't grind on the thing to long while starting or it will be hard on it. If tractor is equiped with a magnito and kill switch than these items can be left alone becuase they shouldn't be affected by the other electical system. Be sure the generator is polarized the right way when you put it all back together. HavinFuninMo posted some info there but it sounded to me like it was for 6v positive ground to 6v negative ground. The same info would be good for 12v positive ground to 12 volt negative ground, if tractor was already converted from 6 volt positive ground to 12 volt positive ground. You just need to do some additional things when going from 6 volt to 12 volt.
