Skip, I have had a super a for years and the transmission has whined from the day I bought it. the faster I go the louder it whines. I would pull the cover off, and drain all the transmission oil, then I usually do a kerosene flush ( fill with kero and run a little bit) then I drain the kero and inspect all the gears as best I can. If all looks well, refill with oil and run your little heart out. Good luck Ron
