Red is the pushrod chamber plate the panel on the side of the block that is about 4-5 inches wide and held in place by 10 or 12 bolts. How do you clean it once it is removed? Is there a gasket I would need to replace? What would you see that that would signal some type of problem. What is the best way to clean the sludge from under the valve cover? Will NAPA have the oil pan and valve cover gasket? I have a Super M that I want to go thru such as you talked about and clean, reset and troubleshoot as needed. Thanks for your help in advance.
