Farmall 400, 450 Cylinder head ( I m getting a complex here!)

It's me again. As I mentioned before I have replaced my standard M block with
a Super M block which I think is a 450 (C281). There have been some
differences, but I have overcome them pretty much with your help and
others...Thank you for that. Now the question. On the standard M head there is
a fitting that goes to the air cleaner that enters the rear side of the head.
There is another fitting that is inside the valve cover, one toward the back
and another one in the front. Running between those two fittings is a pipe
that screws into both fitting. On the front side of the head there is another
fitting that the govenor pipe is screwed into. After all said and done the air
cleaner draws air causing a positive crankcase venlitation from the govenor. I
really hope I am making myself clear here. But on the 400, 450 head the only
place where fittings could be screwed into are in the front side and inside
the valve cover on the front side of the head. There is nothing in the back for the air cleaner can attach to. Is the valve cover different between the
standard M and the 450? If so can I modify my current valve cover and what
does the inside fitting have attached to it? Boy I really wish that there
where rendering online like the IH dealers have.
Thanks,
Dave

Today's Featured Article - Box Plow Blues - by Tom Schwarz. One of the first implements most tractor owners obtain is the box plow. For very little money, this piece of equipment promises to plow and flatten any hill or vale on your ranch road or farm. At least that's what I thought! As simple as a box plow appears, it can be rather challenging to make work correctly. In our sandy soils of Florida, traction is king. You can never have wide enough tires or heavy enough weights to get all the traction you want … unless you own a monster tractor. U ... [Read Article]
