I just tightened mine with a big wrench. the studs are pretty thick, and the head is so thick it would be hard to warp, and the compression is so low I would be surprised if the gasket leaked. As a side note, my shop teacher in VOAG in the 60s always told us to tighten head nuts until we farted, and that was tight. Now that I am a geezer and eat a lot of bran, that torque value is probably less than when I was young.
