I have a '49 Farmall M in pretty good shape. One big problem right now. The lever that you pull up to engage the PTO will not stay up. It drops down and disengages. The PTO works fine if you hold the lever up. I can't find any help in the few manuals and books I have. Can someone tell me what I need to do to fix this? Also the plate around the PTO leaks grease. I'm assuming this is nothing more than a gasket issue? Thanks.
