I just sold my IH 45 baler today for $450. It had faded paint but was in good shape. The guy who bought it from me said it worked like a charm today when he came back for the manual a few hours later. Anyway, in the owners manual it says the PTO model requires a tractor of the Farmall 200(up-graded C) or equivilent or better. I have heard a lot of bad things about the 45. Maybe the JD 14T or NH 66 or whatever is a better baler, but the 45 cannot be junk if over 100,000 were made.
