Before you panic any further the most common reason for loose steering on a super A is that the arm is loose on the shaft that comes out of the bottom of the box. Stand in front of the tractor and turn the steering shaft with your hand. If the arm moves up and down then that is the problem. Fix= #1 Remove tie-rods from arm. #2 Turn steering all the way to one side. #3 Tighten bolt that goes through arm. #4 Replace tie-rods. Try this. It should at least reduce the amount of free play in your steering. Vern (PS. I have a super A and I have done this a few times.)
