I do have the liftall control rod coming up from the right side to the steering wheel area. the hole I mentioned earlier is cast into the bottom right side of the lift all unit, about a foot below the lift all control arm. I need to double check the lower right pipe as you might be correct that someone added an extension to the drain hole. The cover plate where the belt pulley would go looks factory made, so I would think this tractor did not come with the pulley. guess it was "optional"? I have ordered a new battery box as it does not have one. I have our local goodyear tire guy looking for a 13.6-38 tire for the left rear as it is rotted badly.

Santa Maria, CA is a big agricultural town on the central coast of California. Top two money producers for the valley are Strawberries and Broccolli. Funny thing, I was in Blowing Rock, NC last summer in the grocery store, picked up a head of Broccolli, and it said Guadalupe, CA. That is the town next door to Santa Maria with the cooling plants. The trucks pick up loads and haul the products back east.

My dad worked for Weyerhauser of New Bern for 33 years. He now lives in Dunn, NC. My sister lives in Wake Forest and my mom still lives in New Bern. I miss those mountains back there, so I bought 10 acres here that are in the mountains which looks a lot like back there.

Looking around at my new neighbors, most of whom are city raised and have recently acquired their first mini-farms of five to fifteen acres and also from reading questions ask at various discussion sites on the web it is frighteningly apparent that a great many guys (and a few gals) are learning by trial and error and mostly error how to use a very dangerous piece of farm equipment. It is also very apparent that these folks are getting a lot of very poor and often very dangerous advice fro ... [Read Article]
