WATER SOFTENS THE RUST ! i know you may cringe at the thought , i did ! dt 6 dozer sat for over 22 yrs , removed head and filled 'er up ! took a day or two and some soft tapping with wood . got it loose to find 2 sleeves , the head and 4 cracks in block ! no busted up pistons , though ! made tranny adapter and used chevy straight 6 w/ modified 11 inch clutch and cut mounting plate to fit engine , runs excellent ! gotta mount hydra pump and free up steering clutches . moves great in a straight line ! LOL NEVER TRIED THE PB , never heard of it and probably wouldn't have the paitence ! hope it works for you ! sincerly , tom s.
