You have a 1940 Farmall A, the FA stands for Farm all, and the model A. The early Farmalls used a fastener called a dzeus. (spelling????) Anyway, they are a quarter turn fastener that fits into a hole that appears to have a spring loaded rod running across the diameter. A slot cut into the dzue fits the rod and a cam action tighten the fastener as you twist it. Possibly the reason there is nothing to fit the holes in the hood, is because somebody over the years replaced the radiator with one from a later year that used a different style fastener...I think they only used the dzues thru 1941 when they swithed for economic reasons....Who knows...
