IT IS VERY HARD TO GET THE DIST CAM TO STOP IN THE RIGHT PLACE USING THE STARTER.IF YOU HAVE A CRANK USE IT TO LINE IT UP IF NOT USE A WRENCH OR A PAIR OF VISE GRIPS ON THE CRANK SHAFT PULLEY BOLT TO TURN IT.STARTERS CAN BE A PAIN, YOU CAN REPLACE THE BRUSHES BUT SOMETIMES THE STARTER DRIVE WILL HANG IN THE FLY WHEEL EVEN WITH A NEW DRIVE , ALSO CHECK YOUR GROUND CONNECTION ON THE TRACTOR IF ITS NOT CLEAN IT MAY PLAY TRICKS ON YOU.I WOULD SUGEST YOU CHECK ALL YOUR BATTERY CONNECTIONS AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE CLEAN AND TIGHT.ED
