Well after a long weekend the 48 came to life. We had to overhaul the carb, re-work the mag and adjust the front bloster. We just really went through the whole tractor, draining and re-filling the fuilds, clean and tighting nuts and bolts. Well after sitting outside behide a barn for three years the 48 came to life on the third crank. Man that was fun. After making some more adjustment we took it out for a test drive. All the gears worked in the transmission, does have a little wheel wobble in high gear. After a few more adjustment the old H now fires up on the first crank of the handle. Now I know what grandpa felt when he brought home his first new tractor. This H might be 53 years old, but none the less I think I know how he felt. Sam
