Steve, I think the carb is ok. This was the first thing I checked, and I just rebuilt it about a year ago. Took it off and checked all passages, etc. and found nothing. Seems cleaning the dist advance did have an effect, but not enough. Runs fine under load, depending on where timing is set. As I said, if I set timing where it runs ok at higher throttle it won't idle right, and vise versa. Thanks, FC
