We have a 400 LPG that when pulling a disk, plow at night, I reckon it is doing it in the daytime too but you just can't see it. There is a blue flame with an orange tip coming out of the top of the muffler about 6 inches tall that is appx. 3feet from the actual head. Standard manifold and pipe/muffler. The manifold is RED HOT as well as the muffler glows too and this tractor has ran this way since I started driving it in 1972. I used to wonder if all that heat was hurting anything and I guess not as its has never even as much as hick-uped or even offered to overheat on the temp gauge over the years. I don't know if the LPG has anything to do with it or not but I can attest that those flames look HOT. If any of you ever get the chance, take the old Farmall out on a summer night and give this a try, you might be surprised at the Pretty Flames. Just another bonus of riding the old Farmall, your own fireworks show.
