I posted instructions on how to adjust the Super A plow a while back. But here I go again. Since when you start, the plow wheel of the tractor is not in a furrow, the point must be pointed down to get started. To this by adjusting the drawbar to the lowest point, so that the hitch point is a close to the ground as possible. There is a bar that is often missing that goes from the drawbar to the front rockshaft arm to allow doing this with the touch control. However you can get along without that. Of course the problem could be a worn plow point or other worn part such as the landslide that is behind the plow. If you want to properly adjust your plow, put the tractor on a level spot and put the land side wheels up on blocks as high as the depth that you want to plow. Then adjust the drawbar so that the plow landslide is level front to back or tilted slightly to the front is better. Also adjust the plow side to side so that it is level side to side with the land wheels on the blocks. This is done by loosening the bolts that hold the spring hitch to the beam and adjusting the cams that are in the holes that attach the hitch to the beam. This may be difficult, because those cams are probably rusty. If the plow is not properly adjusted side to side, it will not go in. As I said before, to get started put the drawbar at the lowest position and after 2 or 3 furrows, you can adjust it back to the position you had when the tractor was on the blocks.
