300's are just Farmall H and Super H's grown up a little. They have live pto, TA, and live hydraulic systems and are excellent tractors. They also have disc brakes which work well if properly maintained. They have the potential of having a fast hitch, some were factory equipped that way and could have a Behlen power steering installed, although I don't think a lot of them had that from the factory. Power steering is a good option to have though, especially if you use a loader on it. If that tractor is in any shape at all 600 bucks would be a good buy - all things being equal. Good luck.
