Have recently become involved with discussing with a younger family member his ongoing project to purchase a tractor/mower/bucket for use on his 3-acre property. He has suggested that he might be concentrating on a certain machine, and I believe that he is probably going in undergunned on his "bucket" requirements. Consequently, my attention has turned to other sizes of tractors. I noted a Ford 2000 at work at a local ballfield - possibly a 6-foot mower attached. Wheel weights, but no other discernible attachments. Tractor appeared to be in good shape, and I suspect that the school owners expect a lot of years of service from it. Can anyone suggest to me what a Ford 2000 might be worth? He's essentially budgeting about $4000.00 at the moment. Maybe we'll try to upgrade his thinking and head the nephew into another direction in his thinking. Thank you very much.
