you would find a lot of residue if you were to pull the sleeves but you can get a lot of crud out by removing the radiator and taking off the lower housing and using some stiff wire or a long screwdriver you will find a lot of junk in there it can be flushed out with water and air pressure might want to put s water pump on at this time
