Bob, thanx for the info. I'll try this stuff tonight after work.. The ammeter is definitely working. The faster I accelerate, the faster the rate of discharge. When I first pull the ignition button, I show a slight charge. I wonder if the ammeter guage is wired backwards. What do you think? The generator has a sticker on it from the local electrical shop, so it probably has been rebuilt lately. The wiring from the generator to regulator/cutout is all new, and the regulator appears to be new....Dave
