New H, ah yes, I remember a day in September 1950, I was living with an uncle, working on his farm, and a sophomore in high school. A red, white and blue school bus brought me home from school and there in the yard sat a brand new Farmall H. My uncle had traded his '41 H for a new one. This new one had a 7 mph 4th gear, fenders with extensions, pulley, pto, adjustable tread front wheels, a padded silver seat, double wheel weights, and the quietest sounding muffler I had ever heard on an H. It also had Goodrich Tires, 11-38's on the rears with the funny "check mark" tread that I'd never seen before. Well, I helped wear that H out but I never forgot the day it was brand new.
